Jay has spent over 30 years serving the title industry. He opened his first law practice in Decatur, Georgia specializing in real estate transactions.
Jay is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, The State Bar of Wisconsin, and holds Authorized House Counsel status with the Florida Bar. Jay additionally holds memberships in the Real Property, Probate and Trust division of the Florida Bar, and the Florida Land Title Association. He earned the prestigious Certified Land – Title Closer and Certified Land – Title Searcher designations from the Florida Land Title Association, and he is a licensed Title Insurance Producer for 37 states.
Jay created and implemented continuing education classes that were approved by the Florida Department of Insurance and used by title companies throughout the sunshine state. Jay is credited with editing title insurance licensing manuals, and has had an article published in the New York Mortgage Press.
Jay is a natural techno geek who runs circles around the young staffers as he keeps the firm up on the latest technology for the profession. When not working, Jay can usually be found on a cruise ship.
Jason E. Thurber

Jason received his JD in 2004 from the University of North Carolina School of Law, and his BA, cum laude, from Wake Forest University in 2001. Jason began his career in real estate right out of law school where he worked in-house at BB&T, followed by practicing commercial real estate finance with the international law firm Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, LLP. Jason broadened his practice to residential real estate in 2009, and has continued to handle both commercial and residential real estate matters across the Southeast. Jason is licensed to practice law in Georgia and North Carolina and holds title agent licenses in 8 states.
When not traveling the globe, Jason can be found spending quality time with friends or his deaf rescue Boxer, Sophia.
